About the Frog Oracle Project
What is it?
Ongoing since 2021, Frog Oracle is a passion project of the artist that they have undertaken alongside their own mental health and wellbeing journey. It comprises a series of 20+ paintings featuring frogs and drawing on the symbolic traditions of tarot and the language of flowers. These rich illustrations will be developed into a deck of cards designed to guide and inspire you on your journey through life.
Why frogs?
Frogs as a species are rich in symbolic potential. They appear throughout human history in our literature, our folklore, in medicine, ritual, religion, and have long been associated with cycles of death and rebirth necessary for spiritual evolution, healing and identity formation. Frogs go through many transformations in their lifetime, have an incredibly close relationship with our natural world, and possess fascinating adaptions to their specific habitats. This makes them a rich subject of metaphor for exploring and crafting our own personal narratives and mythologies.
When can I get a copy?
Being a passion project, Frog Oracle has no set release date. The project is currently in its end stages, with some artworks being reviewed and literature written to accompany the card deck. Hoping for launch in late 2025!
